Position: Shopify Freelancer
Company: JLB Florida
Pay: Starting at $20 per hour (willing to negotiate based on results)
Hours: 5-20 hours per week to start

Introduction:
As a Shopify Freelancer at JLB, you'll work with an award winning dev team, support from a project manager, and create beautiful front-end work and custom, highly-converting Shopify storefronts.

We are searching for the freelancer to join our team who loves to work with others, communicate frequently, provide guidance on how to accomplish projects, and timelines on how when projects will be accomplished.

Projects

Translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning websites using HTML/CSS/JS/Liquid
Deliver high output as an individual contributor across an array of projects while meeting deadlines
Rigorously educate yourself on the latest development techniques and best practices
Solve technical problems and clearly communicate solutions to team members and clients
Create documentation for internal teams as well as clients
Act as a primary technical resource for an agile team
Research and deliver the best technical implementations for our eCommerce partners
Continuously look for ways to improve conversion rates
Perform code reviews, with valuable feedback and mentoring, for other developers on the team


Required Experience

2+ Shopify development experience
3+ examples of Shopify custom theme development, notating before/after if possible
Comprehensive understanding of Shopify theme structure, including sections and locales
Deep knowledge of Shopify Liquid, Core Liquid files and managing Shopify framework
Comprehensive understanding of Shopify theme structure, sections and locales
Established Shopify development experience with heavy modification to existing elements
Deep knowledge of web architecture, HTML5, and CSS3, Javascript
Can create effortlessly in HTML, CSS, SASS, Javascript/jQuery
Experience with managing apps from the Shopify App ecosystem
Previous experience using version-control tools such as Git
Deep understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
Excellent time management, problem solving, and communication skills
A passion for front-end architecture as well as driven attitude towards learning new web technologies
Well-versed in version control systems (git, svn) in case backups need to be reinstated before, website edits can be viewed in staging, and other development control processes


Extra consideration will be given to those who have:

Familiarity with Shopify build tools (ex. Slate, Theme Kit etc.)
Proficiency in integrating dynamic content solutions with AJAX or API Services
Understanding of conversion rate optimization or data-driven product development (analytics, a/b testing, etc.)
Experience developing with prototype frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
Knowledge in JS full stack (Node, Express, Vue)
Knowledge of other eCommerce Platforms (Magento, Volusion, BigCommerce, Woocommerce)
Versed in agile development and best practices
Open-source contributor / active development community member
Experience working with a CMSA solid portfolio of quality, hand-coded responsive web projects (github, codepen, etc.)
Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
