ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS
The Human Resources Assistant will report directly to the HR Coordinator and work closely with the HR Coordinator as an Administrative Assistant. Primary emphasis will be to assist the Human Resources Department with various administrative functions such as: processing new hires and onboarding, HR maintenance, reconciliation of expense reports and department budget, OSHA compliance and safety initiatives as well as authoring Safety and Wellness Newsletter, other related generalists HR functions. The ideal candidate should speak and understand English very well, be organized, motivated and have good interpersonal and writing skills.
Successful candidates will have the ability to multi-task and work efficiently; detail oriented; outstanding communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel; Skype; and other internet web/cloud programs; motivated; ability to work with all levels of staff; Send Resume with Cover Letter.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS
• Keeps employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in a timely manner.
• Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Updates employee phone directory and company organization chart.
Recruiting
• Maintains the daily update of the firm's Applicant Tracking System using Chronotek.
• Advertises employee job openings in keeping with company recruitment policies. Manages the logistics of the recruiting process.
• Posts ads on the Internet in places appropriate to the open position including job boards, college career services offices, professional associations, and on the company's Web site.
• Reviews resumes as they arrive on a daily basis.
• Manages the applicant flow process and manages the recruiting applicant flow.
• Provides a first review of resumes.
• Maintains an online filing log that retains qualified applications for one year.
• Schedules interviews for the hiring manager and Human Resources. Schedules additional interviews as needed.
Benefits Administration
• Assists employees with any benefit issues or concerns, as needed
• Maintains employee benefits database
Employment
• Prepares paperwork required for new hires and establishes personnel file.
• Assumes other duties as assigned by the HR Director and/or Director of Operations
• Schedule and conduct reference checks
REQUIREMENTS
• Effective English oral communication skills.
• Experience in administration of benefits and other HR programs is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Skills in database management and record keeping
• Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully
