Hiring GENERAL transcriptionist FULL TIME

This is GENERAL TRANSCRIPTION.

This is a long term job, FULL TIME and stable job.

Work Schedule:
Either 8am-8pm or 8pm to 8am Philippine time.
Mondays-Fridays.

Work load:
-1 hour of audio per day.

Deadline:
-12 hours. Meaning, you will have to finish 1 hour of audio within your shift of 12 hours. If you can't finish on time for some reason, you will have to extend until you finish the 1 hour audio.
-If you want more work in a day, no problem.

Type of work:
-Audio files will vary. On a scale of 1-10, the quality of audio will be mostly at 6-7. Mostly, there will be multiple speakers, some background noise, some ma have accents (British, Canadian, Australian, etc.). The subject matter of the files would also vary (Education, Legal, Meetings, Business, etc.)

Quality expected:
-You are expected to submit quality transcripts. Meaning, they your work should be accurate and properly formatted (guidelines will be given). The transcripts you submit should be client-ready.

Other expectations:
- should be online on Skype while working
- should have a Paypal account for payments
- should be able to come in on time according to the shift given to you
- should notify me in advance if you are to be late or absent
- should only be late or absent rarely

Software/ hardware:
- reliable internet connection
- own PC, at home, where you can work without distractions
- your preferred transcription audio player (Ex. Express Scribe)
- good headset or earphones
- foot pedal (optional)
- Google Docs (you should know how to use Google docs)
- Skype

Payment terms:
-For the first month, you will be paid weekly, every Tuesday, by 5pm (usually earlier).
-After the first month, we'll move to payments every two weeks, the 2nd and last Tuesday of the month, 5pm.
-Payments are sent through Paypal ONLY.

-The pay rate is $8 per AUDIO HOUR. Assuming you complete 1 hour of audio every mon-fri, without any absences, the pay rate is $40 per week, or $160 per month.
-This is for a transcriptionist with average skills. If you are very good, we can offer a higher rate. If you are not that good but can improve, we can negotiate a lower rate until you improve.
-Also, if you want to earn more, as I said above, you can do more work. An average transcriptionist can finish 1 hour of audio in 8 hours. I am giving you a 12 hour deadline. If you finish early and want to do more work, just let me know. There is a lot of work available.

Application process:
-Please send me your resume. Your email should also describe your experience with transcription in detail (company you have worked for, online or offline, what types of audio have worked with, what subject matters, accents, etc.)
-Among the applications, I will shortlist the best to be given a test audio through Skype. You will be given a 15 minute audio for you to transcribe. You will be timed. You have to be online for this. IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DO THIS, DO NOT APPLY.

Please bear in mind that I am looking for long term transcriptionists. This is a stable job that you can have for years.
