About The Position:

Title: Podcast Editor
Job Type: Part time, 2 to 10 hours per week, varies widely
Compensation: $10/episode
Status: Contractor/Freelance

Overview:
This person will be responsible for assisting with editing episodes. We are currently looking for someone to take raw .wav or mp4 files then: splice, edit, add intro, add theme song, ID3 tag, adjust audio with certain audio enhancements, export as .mp3, ensure quality and content guidelines are met and upload to several platforms. This person should have at least 100 hours experience with audio editing podcasts.

Requirements:
Must have a personal computer, audio editing software and high-speed internet at home.

You must submit a resume link with your application as well as a link to a 2-minute video introduction hosted on youtube and 3 or more samples of your previous work (original file and edited file). These three items are mandatory for consideration for the role.

Objectives/Duties:

Edit audio, add clips, splice clips, process with enhancements
Upload and download to platforms
Be able to diagnose technical issues and give helpful feedback
Ensure quality of audio
Turn around - finished product within 72 hours
Other tasks as assigned
Technical Skills
Very good at audio edits, splicing, mixing and enhancements.
Very punctual, has good time management skills, able to handle many tasks at once
Understands the basics of websites, internet, etc.
Understands and executes excellent online communication
Generally be tech-savvy
