JOB OVERVIEW

Position Summary:

Employee will work on a US based web application developed with PHP, back-end SQL Server, assisting and collaborating with the ongoing development of new software features, implementation of new solutions, troubleshooting and fixing bugs in preparation for company roll out of Commercial Real Estate Loan Origination Platform Cloud Based Software – scheduled January 2019.

As a software engineer working at BrokeredIn, you will provide technical assistance and be responsible to work independently on multiple different tasks, that often change from day to day as objectives are ---------- This Role You Will Often:

• Collaborate with US team members and owners with design and development of new software features and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot, fix software bugs and pinpoint issues specifically getting software ready to release
• Promote opportunities for refactoring by examining patterns of system usage and identifying areas of optimization
• Work with the US Team driving sprints to completion.
• Provide constructive and honest feedback during sprint retrospectives in an effort to continually improve all systems.

This Job Might Be For You If You:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or similar technical discipline with equivalent experience.
• Enjoy working with remote teams across different cultures.
• Flexible with a schedule that may require splitting the work day to connect with US team members.
• Have spent 5+ years working as a full stack developer, desirably in a web based or multi-tier systems.
• Motivated individual with the ability to learn and come up to speed on new technologies quickly.
• Excel at solving problems.
• Have experience in the following technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery, PHP, LAMP, GIT
• Have hands-on experience with the following:
• Deploying distributed applications including RESTful API, and various middleware services.
• GitHub best practices for team development involving feature branches, pull requests, release tags, etc.
• Integrating and utilizing 3rd party libraries and tools
• Agile software development practices, unit testing, continuous integration, etc.
• Debugging and troubleshooting the software
