The role:

This position is a full-time on-going remote Virtual Mechanical Engineer for 40 hours per week, working remotely to Australian hours and public holidays, Mondays through Fridays with fixed Sat-Sun off to start as soon as possible. The successful Automotive Engineer will be responsible for support and development in all aspects of the vehicle compliance process. This is to ensure that the supporting evidence and documentation are of high quality, meet all required standards and are delivered in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure all modifications and compliance reports meet ADR and Australian standards
• Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner
• Working with clients to monitor timelines to ensure timely access to information and vehicles
• Manage stakeholder relationships and their process
• Develop and control appropriate internal documents
• Evaluate and propose new product opportunities
• Other duties and tasks assigned by the direct manager

The successful candidate:
• A degree in Bachelor of Engineering major in Mechanical Engineering with an interest in Automotive Engineering
• A degree in Bachelor of Science major in Automotive / Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 1-year experience in a similar role and Automotive experience
• 3D modelling experience with Solid works and/or AutoCAD
• Ability to perform FEA calculations & analysis
• A natural passion for all things automotive
• High attention to detail
• Strong customer focus
• Highly analytical and process driven
• Ability to work autonomously as well as playing an integral role with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent English communication skills verbal and written
• Must be willing to sign Confidentiality and Employment contracts
