What’s the job really about?

You will assist the Event Manager in coordinating events we’ve been doing for 26 years, new events we’ve recently designed, and creating and executing events that exceed our client expectations, run so smoothly they feel flawless and seamless, and …enjoy doing it! We really love it when our team members love what they do!

Wage is $5USD/hour minimum of 40 hours per week

1:00am - 10:00am Manila Time -----> 9:00am - 6:00pm PST (1 hour lunch)

Knowledge of travel (booking planes, trains, and automobiles) is an asset, though you would have support from the team.
Events:

We teach real estate investing, real estate coaching, real estate investment advisory certifications, public speaking, financial freedom by design, retreats, community-building events, expos, summits, sales events, and so much more.

Live Events:

We host regular live events in Burnaby (Metro Vancouver), Kelowna, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Ottawa. We host other events in lots of Canadian cities, and we are expanding worldwide, so look out world!

You will assist in the organization of the content, speakers, segments, games, community-building exercises, facilitation, etc. of the event. You will liaise with in-house talent, hosts, speakers, creative designers, communications specialists, production, shipping, and with our onsite event planners, as well as with external speakers and partners.

Here are some questions you will ask yourself on a regular basis:

Are the speakers confirmed and have we received all their stuff?
Do they require room temperature Red Bull and unbleached almonds before they present?
Is the online event calendar up to date – with the LATEST information?
Does the event host, onsite logistics know exactly what to expect?
Are registration lists up to date an in the hands of those who need to know?
Are there handouts? If so, are they branded correctly? Are they approved by the executive team? Are they printed and shipped by the deadline?
Does the marketing team know what the events are and whose presenting – and what that means – so that they can do the best job marketing the event possible?
Am I practicing patience?
Does everyone know what they need to know, have what they need to have, for the event to run as planned?
Has anything been missed?
Could anything go wrong, and do I have a plan B, C to support at the last minute if needed?
Online events and content:

We post content online, we create webinars, podcasts, Youtube channels, videos, digital content, social media – like Facebook Lives, online chat forums, and all sorts of content in all sorts of forms, with a global network of partners. You will support in tracking down certain types of content (like presentations from speakers) so you can post it on our website (and elsewhere as needed). You will support our marketing team to advertise our events.

System Requirements:
-You should have wired ISP at least 5mbps internet speed with a backup internet connection (ie. pocket wifi).
-Have an updated computer with a back-up in case of technical issues.

Salary $5.00 USD per hour
