Position Summary
This position will organize and oversee the transportation, warehousing, distribution and installation of goods both locally and non-locally. Working closely with finance, marketing, and external vendors, the position will ensure adequate stock levels at each warehouse location are maintained while minimizing logistics & warehousing costs. The Supply Chain Manager will be expected to monitor, maintain, and continuously improve processes that will ensure stock movements are taking place in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee shipping and logistics processes including quoting, receipt, organization, inspection, delivery, installation, handling and distribution of goods.
• Organization of all inbound and outbound freight forwarding and consolidation on both a domestic and international level.
• Oversee documentation, processing, and management of inbound and outbound shipments within inventory management software and internal reporting tools.
• Reduce inbound and outbound logistics expense by implementing new systems, streamlining processes, and negotiating with vendors.
• Participate in inventory planning process to ensure stock levels are balanced and maintained at all global warehouse locations.
• Monitor 3PL and warehouse charges to minimize storage and fulfillment costs while ensuring compliance with SLAs.
• Maintain and analyze periodic reporting on stock levels, inventory movements, and warehousing & logistics costs
• Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with global shipping partners, 3PL warehouses, and factories.
• Assist Finance with cash requirements, 3PL & freight invoice approval, and inventory counts.
Skills & Experience
• 8-10 years of experience in a Supply Chain Management role, preferably within a consumer packaged goods and/or retail organization
• Experience working with ERP software, Inventory Management Systems, Warehouse Management software, flowchart software (Vizio or other), transportation management systems, project management software, EDI, and other.
• Project management experience and the ability to keep information organized, deliver results on-time, and within budget.
• Prior experience working with global supply chain operations and/or procurement
• Analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a cross-functional role in a startup environment is a strong plus
• Strong English language verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelors degree or higher
