We have several companies that sell products on the Amazon marketplace.
We’re looking for an experienced inventory manager who will be responsible for managing our inventory levels across all products. (100 SKUs + so far).
All inventory businesses are only as good as their planning so your role will be vital to the ongoing success of the company.
We’re currently building a team to handle all aspects of the business and your job will be to sit between the customer facing team, who can assist you with projecting sales, and the sourcing team in China who will be dealing with factories and placing orders.
You will also be involved with crunching data (using your spreadsheet skills) to help decide about potential products to sell.
We’re just starting to grow out our team and this role will be one of the first we hire for. As the team grows we’ll have weekly video calls and will meet in person (somewhere in the Philippines) once per year.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and update inventory forecasting spreadsheets to make sure orders are placed in time to avoid stock outs.
- Decide when stock should be sent to the Amazon warehouses from our third party warehouse.
- Communicate with the sourcing and production manager in China to work out current lead times for the various factories.
- Calculate which shipping methods are best for each shipment sent from China to the USA.
- Always keep track of each order and shipment at all times.
- You’ll use your spreadsheet skills to make suggestions around any area of the business that requires a lot of data.
- Create, and keep updated, various systems and SOPs important to your role.
- Will interrogate data to make suggestions to improve profitability of certain products.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel and/or Google Sheets)
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Experience with inventory demand planning.
- Excellent problem solver and pays attention to details (to prove this mention your favourite book, and why you like it, in the fourth question of the application form.)
- Willingness to take ownership of tasks and suggest improvements to the CEO.
- Full time availability. 8 hours per day. Monday - Friday. (Holidays for Easter, Christmas and New Year but not other Filipino holidays)
