JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a part-time (or possibly full-time) virtual assistant who is able to perform a range of tasks relating to the day-to-day running of ProjectHut.com, and our other services.

The range of activities will vary over time, but to start with will include:

• Replying to incoming support ticket emails, and forwarding more difficult questions to the appropriate department.
• Collating our existing history of support ticket responses and writing articles that address the most Frequently Asked Questions that we receive.
• Posting articles to our blog, and responding to comments.
• Posting content to our social media pages (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+), and responding to comments.
• Researching and identifying the latest blog/twitter posts and news in our industry and identifying articles that we may wish to comment on.
• Handle general administration tasks, such as:
o Researching flights/accommodation and preparing itineraries
o Collating and categorising photos
o Proofreading and editing in Word
o Manipulating data in Excel
o Preparing Powerpoint presentations
o Preparing photos for our websites in Photoshop, etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS

The successful applicant MUST:

• Follow instructions precisely and work independently.
• Have impeccable communication and written English skills with close attention to detail.
• Have a courteous manner and positive attitude at all times.
• Have your own computer and a reliable Internet connection, with a backup connection (e.g. 3G) should your main Internet connection fail.
• Work the designated work hours, as discussed and agreed upon in advance.
• Be available online during all agreed work hours via Skype / instant messenger.
• Be proficient at:
o Email communication
o Microsoft Word
o Microsoft Excel
o Microsoft Powerpoint
o Photo editing, using tools such as Photoshop / GIMP / Paint.NET
o Wordpress
• Be a fast learner who is able to pick up new skills quickly.


JOB DETAILS

• This is a part-time work-from-home position (15-20 hours per week), but may possibly become a full-time position in the future as work demands.
• We are flexible on hours, however we need to agree on the work schedule in advance, and you must be available during these times. Our work hours are usually standard business hours in GMT+8 time-zone.
• We would prefer someone who can work over the whole week, e.g. perform a couple of hours every day, rather than do all the work in 2 or 3 days.
• Salary is negotiable, depending on skills, experience and productivity.
• The job will commence with a one-month trial, after which it will become permanent should we be satisfied with your work.
• Payment during the first month trial is weekly in-arrears, and after the trial period is paid fortnightly or monthly in-arrears.
