Job Description:
A teacher trainer handles the growth and development of trainees in order for them to become great teachers of the English language. Teacher trainers equipped the trainees and tutors with the know-how (teaching and language skills) that will enable them to help their students become good speakers of English. Teacher trainers shall also help with the ongoing, long-term improvement of tutor’s skills, enabling them to reach their highest potential in teaching.
Tasks include:
Handling orientation, hands-on, and special trainings
Improving the materials used in training
Managing and evaluating the trainees, together with the other trainers and department staff
Honing the skills and inculcating the right teaching attitude to the tutors and trainees
Encouraging the trainees and tutors to do their best
Other tasks that might be needed for the improvement of the trainees / training department
Qualifications:
Graduate of any 4-year course - preferably English related
Must have at least 2-year background in teaching ESL
With TESOL certification is a plus but not required
Background in teaching IELTS, TOEFL, TEOIC, and other English proficiency exams a plus but not required
Characteristics:
With excellent communication skills in English
Must be computer literate and well-versed in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Can communicate effectively and possess good people skills
Must be patient and exude confidence
Must have passion in teaching and able to inspire others to do their best
Must show initiative and creativity at work
Must have good time management skills
Must be a team player
Ability to create presentations
Additional Information:
Shift schedule is from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Rest days: 1 Weekend & 1 Weekday or 2 Weekdays. (Split or consecutive restdays)
