JOB OVERVIEW


At RideEasy, we build ski and snowboard accessories that let people ride longer and harder on the snow mountains and have more fun while they’re at it! We created our flagship product ourselves, the RideEasy Line, which helps snowboarders rest their leg as they ride the chairlift. We're going into production right now which will allow us to ship to our customers all over the World very soon! Check it out at ---------- .

Are you a YouTuber already? Do you have your own IG channel that you’re building? Are you a good storyteller with an eye for detail? If so, RideEasy will be the perfect place for you! We’re looking for a talented video editor for our YT and IG channels. We’re a very small team so your opinion will be highly regarded. If you have a good solid video editing background and want to get started with a fast-growing startup, we want to hear from you!

We already have a few videos on our channels (Youtube: ---------- ; Instagram: ---------- ) you can go there to check out the quality of our postings right now. Most of them are amateur-ish, which is why we’re looking for a professional to upgrade our content. We’ve already bought license free music from epidemic sound as well as have a bunch of raw footage that’s looking to be edited in a creative and fun way. WHO ARE YOU?

As a RideEasy YT and IG Video Editor, you’ll be working on:
* Creating engaging YT videos
* Choosing appropriate energy appropriate music from ----------
* Creating subtitles
* Create transition effects, intros, and outros that increase the video’s production value
* Instagram stories
* Bonus: do graphics for our instagram channel

This is a great role for someone who is passionate about all things videos, stays on top of emerging tech trends and is looking to break into the world of Youtube and Instagram.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

• You must be self-motivated. You will be working remotely and independently with very little supervision. An ability to manage your time well, be accountable, adhere to a schedule, and meet deadlines is critical.
• You should have high standards for yourself and your work. You should constantly be over-delivering on projects.
• You should be a natural problem solver. We use a huge variety of software and online tools, which means you will be responsible for responding to and solving any problems that arise with them. Creative problem-solving abilities in other areas are also highly valued.
• You should have excellent writing skills and be comfortable developing descriptions for Youtube, captions for Instagram, etc.
• You have high standards and a critical eye. We value your input in all projects, (technical and non-technical)! Having a strong eye for graphic design, digital media, and copywriting is a huge bonus.
• This is a virtual, contract position. You will need to have your own computer with a webcam, high-speed Internet and a reliable phone.

LOCATION AND COMMITMENT:
* This is a remote, contract position. You will need to have your own computer with a webcam, high-speed internet, and a reliable phone.
* Hours: 10 - 30 hours per week.


All candidates who are being seriously considered for the role will be required to complete 1 - 3 sample projects for which you will be paid, to assess if you are a mutually beneficial fit for the company. References are also required prior to a final offer.
