Overview
The primary responsibility of the Editor is to edit in a concise, efficient and timely manner any assigned news broadcast. The News Editor also ensures the newscasts meet our quality standards.


Duties & Responsibilities:

• Complete editing assignments under extreme deadline pressure.
• Ability to adapt to changes with digital technology.
• Covering breaking news events as part of a fast-paced assignment /digital team.
• Working in multiple content management systems.
• Knowledgeable about how to use social media to generate digital traffic and engagement.
• Ability to identify potentially viral stories.
• Demonstrate sense of urgency with breaking news
• Working under tight deadlines.
• Planning ahead for social, digital and coverage of events.
• Ability to manage content on a variety of ---------- petencies and Requirements:

• 5 year experience in real online media
• Strong assignment editor/ writing skills
• Solid news knowledge
• Excellent written English, including good spelling and grammar
• A meticulous approach to their work and an eye for detail
• The ability to maintain high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
