JOB OVERVIEW

Looking for confident, professional freelance bookkeeper to work remotely, from home, in a friendly cloud-based environment with me in my Melbourne (Australia) based accounting firm.

The role will be on a 40 hours / full-time basis (Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm Philippines time including a one hour break).

We are hoping to find someone who:
• Is able to demonstrate comprehensive bookkeeping experience using Xero
• Is proficient in English, especially written, and is able to quickly communicate any issues, questions, problems, etc
• Has great attention to detail
• Has a proven ability to problem solve
• Has appropriate computer and adequately fast internet connection as our systems are completely cloud-based and video conferencing will be how we work together

The tasks you will be required to complete are:

Technical:
• Bookkeeping for Australian businesses
• Australian GST legislation (essential)
• Australian accounting principles
• Australian payroll

Systems
• Proficient in using Xero
• Proficient with Receipt Bank or Hubdoc (an advantage)
• Experience in using Asana & Xero Practice Manager (WorkflowMAX) (an advantage)
• Experience in assisting with the setup and implementation of new bookkeeping systems

Aged Receivables:
• Data entry Sales invoices
• Data entry Sales payments
• Reconcile Aged Receivables

Aged Payables:
• Data entry supplier invoices
• Review and upload receipts and invoices via Hubdoc/Receipt Bank to Xero
• Data entry supplier payments
• Reconcile Aged Payables

Payroll:
• Setup payroll
• Process payroll
• Process electronic transfers

Liabilities:
• Payment/processing PAYG/IAS/BAS
• Payment/processing Staff super
• Payment/processing loan/s

Reconciliations:
• Bank
• Credit Cards
• Takings clearing accounts
• Payroll - PAYG & Super
• Supplier Statements
• GST control accounts
• Loan accounts

Management Reporting:
• Session, weekly, monthly reporting, quarterly reporting
• Dashboard creation and maintenance
• Maintenance of workpapers

Administrative Support:
While we are building up bookkeeping clients to support your full time role I hope to utilise you to reduce my administrative tasks in the business, including:
Email management
• Preparing blog posts from tech partner articles (essentially copying & pasting)
• Marketing tasks (no phone cold calling)
• Preparing client administration manuals
