Our company is a UK based, small, but fast growing business, in real estate and holiday accommodation. We are looking for a bookkeeper to take charge of our internal accounting duties, compile & input data as well as provide some administrative tasks.
The responsibilities of the candidate will include:
General bookkeeping duties:
• Preparing basic books for annual accounts, management accounts, VAT returns etc to be passed to external accountants.
• Assisting the Commercial Operations Manager in preparing invoices and taking payment from guests/ refunding guests
• Bank reconciliations
• Processing staff expenses
• Processing and maintaining purchase & sales ledger including payment of suppliers
Data entry duties:
• Recording guests' reservation details in excel sheet in required format (fed from our Channel Manager software Tokeet)
• Checking rates on OTA (Online Travel Agencies) against internal Tokeet rates
• Allocating amalgamated costs to individual properties/staff
• Monitoring competitor rates & reservations
• Ad hoc requirements in compiling and analysing existing data
Admin duties:
• Responding to basic customer queries using the standard templates
The successful candidate should have practical bookkeeping experience and a good working knowledge of Excel, QuickBook, Xero etc. The other skills required are:
• Excellent English in writing & speaking
• Attention to detail
• Organisation and communication skills
• Teamwork & capability to work independently
