Web Developer / Programmer / Degree Qualified

READVERTISED POSITION (AGAIN)...

We are looking for an honest, competent, hard-working degree qualified web developer/programmer who wants a secure, full-time job. You will need to understand PHP, MySQL, Javascript, CSS, HTML5, Bootstrap and the usual array of normal, web-related languages. If you know WordPress and/or Joomla! extra awesome. If you know Mautic or other CRM and marketing automation platforms, extra, extra awesome.

We work east coast Australian hours (i.e. 2-3 hours ahead of Manila). You'll start work around 8.00 am and finish around 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday. If you sometimes need to work more hours than that we'll pay you for that time. These hours are non-negotiable.

Salary is up to P40,000 monthly (negotiable for the right person) depending upon your prior experience and previous pay scale. We are based in Manila, and payment is made fortnightly in Pesos, via direct credit to your BPI bank account. This is non-negotiable. To be clear, that means we won't pay into your BDO or other accounts.

We like to think that we’re a good company to work for and are happy for applicants to speak with some of our current and former employees first, just to check us out. You'll need reasonable English skills, although you will rarely or never have to interact directly with clients.

We have had some bad experiences using remote workers - but a whole lot more happy ones. If you think you'll be able to do this job and do some other work on the side, think again. This is a full-time job. If you want to work as freelancer for multiple clients, please do not apply.

You'll be allocated work through the Teamwork project management system and will need to report on and account for your time. You will be working under the direct supervision of people who understand your job and know how long it takes to complete tasks. We will not be micro-managing you. You'll need to show initiative and complete work in a timely manner. We know what that looks like.

We have become completely intolerant of BS. Treat us well, and you'll get the same and more in return. Lazy, incompetent scammers need not ---------- erviews will be held over Skype. We want somebody who can start immediately - as in today. This is a LONG TERM position, with a company that has been around for over ten years. If you are just looking for something to fill in for a few months, please look somewhere else. We are honest, decent people who treat our workers very well. We expect the same in return.

NB: Please people - tell us about your experience with complex WordPress or Joomla! projects and/or actual coding. We are not looking for template fillers or somebody to just build pretty websites - we have children who can do that! We need somebody who is capable of understanding raw code and solving real world, back-end problems. If this isn't you, this is not the right job for you. We will figure it out in a matter of hours if you don't know what you are doing and will not hesitate to fire you immediately if you are not up to the job. We hate being this blunt - but it's apparently necessary.
