We are looking for a superstar backend developer that can maintain and further develop our tech infrastructure. We need someone that can take our tech and run with it as we grow. The ideal candidate is a backend developer with experience working with and leading a development team.

Overview of the tech infrastructure:

Store and ecommerce capabilities are built in Shopify
Backend app is built in PHP. It connects and feeds information to Shopify
Digital Ocean is used for the database
Amazon S3 is used for storage
Laravel Forge on the server side
Bitbucket is used for version control

Job Duties:

Maintain, modify, and customize our ecommerce store as we grow
Build new features and products that can give us a competitive advantage in the marketplace
Maintain and develop new features for our custom app (built in php)
Create an extremely safe and secure infrastructure that protects our data and customer information from ever being hacked or leaked
In charge of integrating our app with various APIs
Serve as subject matter expert
Communicate with founders

Requirements


At least 2-4 years of experience with backend development
2-4 years of experience with PHP
Experience working with API’s
Strong understanding of Amazon S3 and its capabilities
Understanding of Laravel Forge for server management
Basic knowledge of front end technologies (HTML, JS, CSS)
Strong knowledge of jQuery AJAX
Basic Experience in Shopify (liquid).
Experience in theme customisation, app development, API integration, and general scripting
Experience in source code management - Bitbucket
Passion for backend development
Strong communication skills - English
