Do you enjoy social media marketing? Our Creative company needs you!
Are you a fan of
Then we need you!
Our Hong Kong online based team, Shadstone, is growing the amount of creative projects we are doing. Our team is based in Asia as well as overseas, so we enjoy connecting with many people and cultures. This includes Global From Asia, a podcast and blog about Asia business, as well as other B2B and manufacturing projects we help in the community.
We have a network of writers and lead generation people - and part time social media marketing - but want to grow our Social media marketing department.
This role will be overseeing multiple accounts and multiple social media channels - so we hope applicants enjoy working with different kinds of projects and community platforms. One new social media account we want to setup is Shadstone itself, we have the accounts but never used them, so hope that this new team member can help to create content schedule, make posts, and get this one up and growing.
Or - when you apply - maybe you want to be the one focused on
If you can give us some examples of social media accounts you have managed it would be very helpful. Give us examples of how you would do things differently on our accounts you can search various platforms from Global From Asia. We have events as well as a lot of online content we are creating and try to have a regular weekly schedule - but also want to get more engagement from the community.
Also there are a lot of social media platforms we are not yet present on - we wonder if the new team member can suggest to us ones that would be best for us to use.
We also hope this applicant has experience with basic graphic editing - as you know in social media - there are different dimensions and styles of the photo that need to be posted. You don’t need to be a Photoshop expert, explaining to us you can use Canva or other online tools would be fine.
##Using Our Standard Company Tools & Policies
In addition to using the social media platforms, we also have our team working on many online tools for online work - such as Asana, Slack, and others. We hope that you are interested and open minded to learn and use these tools - as we are all working online and if one person doesn’t use the tools it affects the performance of the others on the team.
We use an online time tracker - this is to allow all us to work online and management and the board of advisors to feel comfortable to grow our online team. We want to be a transparent workplace, so our time tracker connects to a Slack channel and everyone can see who is working on what. This has helped the team work better online and help each other.
##Typical Work Day
So what does working with us look like? We are on HK / Philippines time 9am to 6pm with an hour terminal break. Some have different shifts depending on their location, but here is a typical day we see for this social media marketer:
9am - check in to work, time tracking, check Slack messages and relevant slack channels. Review Asana projects and tasks to make sure all urgent matters are handled first
9:15am - review comments and other engagement from various channels
9:30am - review content calendars for various properties you are managing. Ensure you have unique posts in queue.
10am to lunch - creating unique posts, creating graphics for different channels. Download video content our video team has made and format for uploading to various social channels
12pm - lunch break
1pm - Coordinate with content creation team, review content calendar, add new blog posts to schedules of various social channels
2pm - Study new social media tactics and platforms
3pm - Create reports and update your KPI on how many posts are coming out, the engagement, and other metrics we are measuring
4pm - give suggestions to management on what content to make, what content is most popular
