Our Asia business blog and podcast, Global From Asia, has been growing like crazy and we are adding a community element to it - doing local city meetups in Asia and around the world. I’m an American business owner in China for 10 years now, and looking for a long term team member to work closely with me on our events, our new sponsor requests, our requests for podcast guests - basically a “hustler” to work alongside me (virtually) as our blog turns 4 years old and traffic and leads have been growing like crazy.

##About the Role
I will call this a sales and business development position as well as VA manager - but there is so much opportunity to learn so much more. I am looking to fill a full time position that works on keeping the team up to date on what is happening - and bridges me and the team. We have about 8 people on the team, mainly part time, in Philippines, Canada, other parts of Asia. I am directly managing all of them, but looking for a rockstar who can take the lead alongside me.

This person should enjoy talking to people, both team members as well as new potential sponsors, city meetup organizers, and event ---------- will be a dynamic role where there will be incoming emails (for sponsors and event attendees), Slack messages (for team coordination), and Asana for project management, as well as a lot of Google docs.

##Typical Work Day
We have a lot of SOPs ready for you to review - as well as an on boarding task list of Google docs to learn all the tools and systems we are using. This way, you can work on your own pace and ensure you understand all the tasks and tools.

Once you finish the getting started tasks, you will meet the others on the team. We have content creation team, social media marketing, administrative team, graphic designer, Wordpress person. Mike has been coordinating all of them, and the goal is you will assist Mike with coordinating these team members.

On top of coordinating these people, you will work with talking to new potential customers and sponsors for our podcast and events. Our current team is great at getting the work done, but they are asking not to talk to customers as they are shy. So we need someone who enjoys talking to potential customers and other team members :)

In the morning time, you would work on catching up with emails from overnight. Updating potential customers and sales reports. Then you will check the status of other team member’s work. You would prepare a report for Mike before lunch time on the status of the customers, potential customers, and team members projects.

After lunch, Mike will give you feedback on the report, and work together to get responses and action items for customers, potential customers, and team members. Making things happen.

So do not be shy! Enjoy life, and enjoy your work. We want you to work with us long term, earn a salary but also get paid a good bonus payment on getting new clients and sponsors. We use helpscout so it is a good way for us to manage the incoming emails.

##Tools and Skills Needed
This is not a technical role - but you should be comfortable with Google docs (spreadsheets, documents, drawings), Slack for team communication, Asana for project management. A plus is if you can help do some graphics when our graphic designer is busy, or it is simply changing the date or speaker on the poster using Photoshop.

##Hours Of Work
Many of our team is on part time or half time. We really want to have someone here who is full time. We are based in China - so it is the same timezone as Philippines - we suggest starting at 930am and ending about 530pm. Of course, we can be a bit flexible - and sometimes it may be better even to do some of your hours in the evening. This is a 5 day a week, Monday to Friday.

This is a full time position, working online. We do not have a company in Philippines, so we will be paying you by Paypal or International bank transfer to your BPI bank twice a month. The first month is a probation period with a starting monthly compensation of $300usd. Once the first month is over we will review and if both parties are satisfied with the work (you enjoy the work, and we work well together) we will increase it to 375usd with a bonus structure in place for new members, event, and business onboarding.
Terms Of Engagement
This is a full time position with the timezone being on Asia (Hong Kong time). There is flexibility in the exact working time, but this person should be available and online for questions and new tasks in the range of 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday.


There may be special tasks that need weekend work or later evening work, and we will give advanced notice and ask for your flexibility if needed.


Payment will be made twice monthly for the previous month’s work.
