Back-End Developer

US-based technology company is seeking a ---------- Back-end Developer.

The PHP Backend Developer will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, migration, and performance of our corporate API/Desktop application. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyze, solve, and correct Coding issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
• Refine and automate regular API processes, track issues, and document changes
• Assist developers with complex API tuning and schema refinement
• Provide support for critical API production systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support activities

Skills and Qualifications

• Expertise in PHP, MySQL, MSSQL, jQuery, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, XML
• Expertise in MVC Frameworks and good technology exposure of Codeigniter or any CMS
• Demonstrated experience with coding in MVC technology such as routing, controllers, action methods, view models, data validation, filters, attributes, and data model manipulation
• Expertise in Database designing and application architecture planning for Core PHP projects
• Good knowledge ---------- , C# (optional)
• Good debugging skills
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX will be preferred
• Prior experience in payment gateway is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Flexible, team player, "get-it-done" personality
• Ability to organize and plan work independently
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
• Proactively report on progress and raise any issues affecting the ability to complete work

This is a contract position, and tea ---------- mbers are responsible for all local taxes. Salary paid weekly via Transferwise.
