JOB OVERVIEW

This position has 2 main parts, 'Vendor Liaison' and 'Researcher':

As Vendor Liaison:

Our company manages a huge database of companies worldwide. You will be the administrator of our online database, and the main contact for all vendor communications. This means you'll use the admin section of our website to evaluate and approve or reject all applicants. You will follow a list of criteria and check the applicants record, verifying their info against their website, LinkedIn, ---------- many cases, we need to request more information from vendors, which means you'll be emailing back and forth with them. So, good skills with English are required. Vendors ask many questions and we'll try to provide the answers in pre-written text as much as possible, but you may need to add or change the answers just a little. Almost all of these communications will be via email. Once vendor applications are approved, you'll update the database accordingly. After that, there are a few things that you'll handle weekly. For example, after a vendor has been in our system for 15, 30, and 60 days a special email needs to be sent to them. Also, every 12 months they need to be notified to update their accounts.

As Researcher:

We are constantly trying to expand our database, and identify any and all new companies that fit our needs. So, after the Liaison work is done, you can search the internet to find new companies that aren't in our database yet. Then you contact them and invite them to join. We will provide as many sources and techniques of finding these companies as we possibly can, but searching the internet for things is always tricky so it's great if you come up with some other sources for this. We have a lot of research sources that have worked well so far!

Writing Skills:

Part of this position is to keep notes and make documentation about the work you're ---------- other words, we need to document our procedure. So, it will be required that you update/write into documents to make sure they are accurate and describe how you are doing the work you're doing each ---------- munications:

We are a small consulting firm, just a few people, and we all work from home. We use skype and other chat systems all the time, and we do a lot of video conferencing. So, it's important that you can be available on text chat, and open to doing video conferencing from time to time.

Timing & Schedule:

The requirement is that each day, you will be available during a period of overlap with the US, timezone MST. This usually works best if you are available in the morning, between 7:00 and 10:00 AM Philippines time.

Personality:

We are upbeat, energetic, and casual but work hard and are focused on quality. When we do our video conferences with our team, we like to laugh a little and have fun.

Bonus Skills; Experience with Social Media, Brilliant Directory, Forum Moderation & Wordpress (not required)
