Job Overview
The research associate helps the company in uncovering opportunities in business development and competitive analysis for the firm. Through searching the internet and social media sites, the person is able to help the company discover where the company should be focusing going forward.



You will report to the company CEO.


The hours you work will be agreed upon by you and the CEO beforehand.


If you are unable to work that day, please let them know ASAP.


Task List

Below are the tasks you will assist with. There will be new opportunities as well as time goes on, so please keep an open mind and be flexible.


Data Entry
Keeping our systems up to date is critical. We have Wordpress as our website, and need someone to add information to that or Excel / Google Sheets on a timely manner. The details of this data entry will vary from case to case.


The research associate may receive special tasks at times, but below is the main tasks that they will be working on:


* Searching Google and other online sites for information and inputting into a research spreadsheet and/or document - this is the primary role, to discover opportunities and creating an opportunity list for the business development department to use to reach out.



* Inputting data from one system into another - we will also have projects where we have to migrate from one system to another. So we know you read this job post please put datarox in subject line of your application message. This is often using Wordpress or Airtable.

* Community search - this is a newly developing task, and if we have time we can work on this as well. This will be finding other communities on the internet, in social media and on forums, that are relevant for our company to cooperate with.



Research For Blog Posts
We write a lot of blog posts! This is to attract more traffic to our website, which leads to more ---------- is important we research these topics thoroughly before writing them, and your role in this task is to search online for other sources of information we can use in the topic.




Transcription
People love our podcasts! It is audio file in .mp3 format. We need to have someone help us to listen to the mp3 file and type out the words they hear. We can use this on the website to get more traffic to our website.



Adding Tasks to Other Task Management Systems
- We are involved in other projects in some of our investment companies. One specifically is Global Tech Services Corp in Cebu, Philippines. We need someone in the Shadstone team to help keep track of how things are going there and to add tasks and items as they come up. They use a different task management system from us, so we need a person to add those tasks and ensure things are going smoothly.



Backup The Online Chat Systems
We have others who will be responsible for the online chat. But we would like to have someone else to back us up if they are sick or on vacation - or just need someone to help. As this grows, you may take this to be a more active role.

The main requirement of this position is to want to learn new things. We are a dynamic and growing company and want to keep everything running smoothly. There may be times we need to do special projects, and your ability to learn a new task quickly is essential in our success in working ---------- pensation

This is a full time position, working online. We do not have a company in Philippines, so we will be paying you by Paypal or International bank transfer to your BPI bank twice a month. The first month is a probation period with a starting monthly compensation of $300usd. Once the first month is over we will review and if both parties are satisfied with the work (you enjoy the work, and we work well together) we will increase it to 375usd with a bonus structure in place for KPI onboarding.
Terms Of Engagement
This is a full time position with the timezone being on Asia (Hong Kong time). There is flexibility in the exact working time, but this person should be available and online for questions and new tasks in the range of 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday.


There may be special tasks that need weekend work or later evening work, and we will give advanced notice and ask for your flexibility if needed.


Payment will be made twice monthly for the previous month’s work.
