JOB OVERVIEW

My company (based in Perth, Western Australia) is looking to hire a full-time (40 hrs/week) employee to write articles and publish them on our network of blogs. You will also have to perform some link building to promote the blogs online.

All training is provided, but you MUST be an excellent English writer - I expect a standard as good as a high school graduate educated US/Australian/UK type of person. Many of the listings on this site who say they have advanced english skills are NOT up to the standard I expect, so be sure you are very good if you apply for the position.

The job requires a writer who can research current trends & news on specific topics, and write/blog about those trends on my sites.

Example topics might be: the stock market, computing/IT, health topics, and so forth. At this stage, there is likely to be 5-10 blogs in total, and your job will be to (on a daily basis) research a current topic for each blog, write an article about that topic and post the article to the blog.

You will have a say in which topics these blogs are about - I'd prefer them to be about subjects you know & like, but we'll see how that works out. You will also need to be doing offsite link building on a regular basis, as well as commenting on popular blogs within the market place.

Also, you'll have to sometime rewrite article content for republishing. You will be taught how to do this if you haven't had any past experience.

As mentioned above, all training will be provided, with the exception of teaching you how to write good quality English. If you don't know how to blog or link build or any of that stuff, it's not a problem, because you will be taught how to do it.

I am looking for a long-term employee, so if you work hard and do a great job, you wil be rewarded with steady work, a good wage and the opportunity to earn bonuses for excellence. I haven't made a decision about what the salary will be, so as part of your application, you will need to tell me what your expectations are for the position.

You will need access to a working computer & connection to the internet. You'll most likely need broadband access, as I can't see a slow dialup connection will allow you to do the job quickly and efficiently. You will have to report what work you did on a daily basis, and I will have a password protected project management system in place for us to share information & track the work done for each site.

Lastly, if you're interested in applying for the job, I'd like to have you write me 2 short 3-400 word articles as proof of your English writing abilities. I will tell you what the subjects are once you let me know you are interested in the position, so don't start writing just yet! :-) OK, that should do for now - I look forward to receiving your email and we can discuss the job & whether you're suitable for it or not.
