Experienced Web/PHP Developer for Online Application

Our company provides an online flashcard application aimed at helping language learners rapidly increase their vocabulary.

Our site is live and our customers love us. We are now looking to bring on a full-time experienced Web/PHP developer (min 3yrs exp) to help us keep improving our application and website.

You should have advanced PHP skills and experience in developing online applications. This would include experience in one or more PHP frameworks as well as API integration with external systems. We are also developing some marketing sites in Wordpress so experience in Wordpress themes and plugins may be useful.

In addition to PHP you are also able to create user-interfaces using HTML/CSS and basic jQuery.

Our front-end is a Flash application built using Flex so if you have Flex programming experience that would be a bonus. If not, then any experience in developing Java applications would also be good.

Other required skills include:
- basic linux usage
- mysql database backup/recovery
- basic sysadmin (setup/maintain websites)
- ability to use basic graphics programs (not as a designer, just to edit images as necessary)
- subversion version control
