JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a writer who can create high quality content that makes a difference to people reading it.

This is not a crank-out-as-many-words-as-you-can type of role. This is all about well-researched solid information. We want to give our readers value, and I fully understand that (a) this takes time and effort, and (b) you're not a machine.

We are an Australian company that has been in the online marketing space for more than 7 years. Our clients come from very varied industries, from educating children to real estate and polished concrete. So there is plenty of variety in this task. All our clients are reputable businesses that truly give value to their clients (just like we do).

Initially your role will be chiefly content creation with some reviewing and editing of other writers' work. Longer term this role will grow into one where you get to manage a team of writers, if you so desire.

You will plan, coordinate, write, review and edit content. Eventually you will be able to decide which topics should be written about and how. We aim to always provide exceptional, informative and engaging content that is relevant to our respective target audiences.

Responsibilities:
- Writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums (e.g. ads, PR posts, newsletters)
- Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
- Suggest topics, headlines in line with targeted audiences
- Proofread, edit and improve stories or pieces
- Eventually manage other writers
- Cooperate and liaise with designers and developers where needed
- Meet deadlines

Requirements:
- Proven working experience as an editor
- Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Copywriting experience preferred
- Hands on experience with WordPress is a big plus, but we'll train the right candidate
- Proven familiarity with SEO practices
- Social media marketing is another plus, but not essential
- An eye for detail (critical)
- Sense of humour (essential)

You'll be working in a virtual, friendly team environment where you are valued as an individual. There is plenty of room to grow.

How to apply:
1. Write a short introductory paragraph about who you are and why you are applying for this role.
2. Two links to example articles you have written and a brief sentence about why you're proud of each of them.
3. Write a witty tag line to the following photo: ----------
4. Create a title for an article about "How to motivate your child to study maths" Make it interesting so that people will want to read the article.
5. Your skype id

I look forward to talking to you soon.
