Web Assistant

I am looking for a web assistant to carry out the work below. It is important that you are happy to work from home and are willing to work for me exclusively. My business is developing quite rapidly and I'm looking for someone I can develop along with me. This means that you need to be comfortable with things being a bit chaotic at times as we sort out the best way to work together. It is important to me that you are happy with what you are doing so I'm keen to develop a working relationship that works well for both of us.

Candidates must meet the minimum requirements and any competence/experience in the desirable areas will be consdiered a bonus but is not essential.

I am looking for someone who wants a full-time, long-term position, working from home, who wants to develop their skills and is a fast learner.

This is an independent working relationship with regular, daily reporting via drop-box and email.

Minimum Requirements

Candidate MUST have:

1. Fast and realiable internet connection.

2. Skype access with headphones.

3. Excellent command of written English.

This job involves lots of writing and manipulation of content, so you MUST be able to read and write English at an advanced level, and know what sounds good and is grammatically correct.

4. Research Skills

You must be able to research information for articles/web site content efficiently and summarise product specifications and descriptions.

5. Technical Competence

Candidate must know how to format hyperlinks.
Be very comfortable and confident with learning how to use new software from video tutorials.
Be very comfortable and confident with carrying out online research.

6. Wordpress Competency

- Must be confident with installing and backing up Wordpress sites.
- Be able to install themes and plug-ins, work with widgets and change settings.
- Be able to set up blog posts including images and video.

Able to use own initiative when appropriate
Able to follow precise instructions when necessary
Willing to learn new skills
Flexible

Desirable SKills/Experience but NOT Essential:

7. Wordpress Advanced - be able to back-up and move wordpress sites from one domain to another domain.

8. Able to upload content to sites via FTP.

9. Able to work with sites via CPanel.

11. Experience with the following Techniques:

Article Marketing
Content spinning/rewriting
Directory submissions
Web 2.0 property creation such as, Hub pages/squidoo/weebly/blogger/tumblr etc
Blog and forum comment posting
Online research for producing web content

This is an independent contractor, home-based position and does NOT provide holiday, sick leave or any other pay for days or hours not worked.

Candidate will be required to work exclusively for me and will be required to sign a contract to that effect.

There will be a paid trial period of work to verify compatibility with my working methods and your skill level before candidate is "taken on" full-time.

Payment will be made monthly, in PHP, through Paypal.
