JOB DESCRIPTIONOpportunity OverviewWe are a Washing DC based company and have a website catering to small & medium business in the United States that are interested in outsourcing information technology and other business processes to companies around the world. We are looking for a full-time or several part-time researchers/ writers to help us develop content for our site. Primary ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities will be to research and write insightful, authoritative content.  Our focus is on unique, well written articles, not low value content. Specifically the focus will be on the following activities:a) Feature articles- Research specific topics in IT and BPO- Develop thesis and article outline- Write article of 500-1500 wordsb) News Articles- Research current IT and BPO news- Write and publish article of 300-500 wordsFuture Secondary ResponsibilitiesThe role will provide significant opportunities for growth. Overtime we can expand the responsibilities to include a number of other activities based on the individuals interest and skills. Possible future activities could include:a) Information Graphics- Research topics in IT and BPO- Develop charts and graphs to explain issues and trends- Include charts and graphs in articlesb) Guest Blog Posts- Identify other websites were they would be interested in guest blog posts- Research and write blog postsc) Article Promotion- Learn about promoting your feature article- Promote articles via guest blog posts, blog comments and social media d) Content Management- Learn simple tasks for maintaining and setting up WordPress and Drupal websites- Help design and maintain layout of websitese) Key Word Research- Learn about how to research keywords- Develop lists of key words for article writingTraining and DevelopmentWe will work with the new writer(s) on an almost daily basis. You must come to the job with very strong writing skills and experience. We will help you grow your writing skills and help you develop other skills in areas like information graphic development, article promotion, SEO, and website content management. JOB REQUIREMENTSWriting Skills and ExperienceThe primary skill is the ability to research and write in-depth, authoritative content in American English.  The ideal candidate will have the following: - English as a first language - A university degree in English or journalism - Minimum of 3-5 years experience writing for leading publications - Experience writing for the United States marketSecondary RequirementsThe candidate must also have the following: - Experience writing about the outsourcing, business, or BPO markets - Computer and broadband connection - Willingness to speak over Skype on a regular basis - Desire to build and grow their skillsAPPLICATION PROCESSIf you meet the above job requirements and are interested in the role please submit the following:- Resume/ CV- Cover email including the following:      - Writing experience and education      - Links to sample work      - Interest in full-time or part-time role      - Desired monthly salary
