JOB OVERVIEW

I am looking for an energetic new personal assistant to join our team. While some tasks will be repetitive, much will be new and changing with an excellent opportunity to grow and learn new skills.

Job functions will include:

Creating and monitoring communications with Amazon.
Uploading product listings to various platforms
Downloading data and preparing it for analysis.
Research, research and more research
Communicating with suppliers and potential suppliers
responding to other communications
organizing files.
preparing reports.
did I mention "research"?
and....just about anything that I don't have time for.

There's plenty to do and learn, but don't worry, you don't need to know how to do it all the first day. You will receive training for whatever we need for you to do, and new tasks will be introduced as you learn the earlier ones.

So what are the traits that I'm looking for in my perfect candidate?

They will be:
upbeat with a positive attitude
a quick learner
flexible and dependable
a creative problem solver
detail oriented and highly organized
able to follow directions
able to solve problems without directions
able to work with minimal supervision
not afraid to ask for help when needed
comfortable with telephone and email communication

They will have:
good written and oral English skills (you don't need to read and write like a native, but be aware that most of the communication in this job is with English speakers)
availability for at least 4 hours a day during a normal east coast US workday.
a reliable computer and internet service

Have you noticed that none of those mention any particular software or work experience? Well, there is one, you need to have experience with Excel or Google Sheets. You don't need to be a wiz, but I shouldn't need to explain what a cell is.

Now some experiences that would be nice to have but aren't required are:
Amazon Seller Central Operations
keyword research Amazon and/or Google
paper click advertising
shopify backend
photo editing

I'm more interested in finding the right person, than the person who is an expert on every software or has worked for an Amazon Seller for 5 years. If you fit what I'm looking for, we'll train you on any skills that you might need.

By now you're probably wondering about us. We are a growing eCommerce retailer. We've been around for over 6 years and sell on a variety of Amazon, and eBay marketplaces. We are currently expanding into Print on Demand which is increasing the number of platforms as well.
The candidate selected will report directly to me, but may receive occasional tasks from our logistics manager.

I forgot to mention it before, but this is for a full-time position. If selected, you would agree that this would be your only job.

Wow, you made it this far. That was a lot to read. Are you interested? Are you the Rock Star that I'm looking for?

If so, this is how our hiring and vetting process works.

1. respond to this ad following the directions outlined below.
2. applicants who have followed the directions explicitly will receive a response either inviting them to the next phase of the screening or letting them know that they will not be moving on.
3. Those who will be continuing on will receive a more detailed questionnaire and several sample tasks to complete.
4. The top candidates, after completing the questionnaire and tasks, will be invited to set up a Skype interview with me.
5. The top candidate will then be chosen.

So, if you’re still interested respond to this job posting in the following way.
In the subject line, put "I'm your Rock Star!"
In the body of the email, answer the following questions, in order:
1. What makes you the Rock Star that I'm looking for?
2. What interests you the most about this position?
3. What strengths do you bring to the position?
4. What software are you comfortable using (note, I'm not looking for someone who can use every software out there. Remember, it is your personal skills that are important to me.)
5. Put a link to your Onlinejobs.ph profile.

A resume is not required, but you may include one if you feel that it presents important information about you. If you do decide to include one, it must be as an attachment, pdf preferred. Links rarely work, and just annoy me.

I look forward to hearing from you!
