Yellowbird Publishing LLC is a growing publishing and Internet marketing company with a wide portfolio of services and products that range from books, marketing tools, software, online coaching, to subscription services.

Summary:

We have an immediate opening for a part-time contractor HTML/CSS Coder. This is a telecommuting position.

The main responsibility of the HTML/CSS Specialist is to efficiently and accurately convert large Photoshop website mockups into HTML/CSS.

The ideal candidate has a strong passion for the Internet, web technology, and customer service. HTML/CSS Specialist must have a solid background in web design, specifically in coding Photoshop mockups into HTML/CSS. Additionally, this individual must have strong communication and computer troubleshooting skills.

The HTML/CSS Specialist is a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter who is able to meet deadlines and work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

- Efficiently and accurately convert Photoshop PSD files into cross-browser compatible HTML/CSS.

- Optimize and maintain existing code/applications.

- Maintain thorough documentation of all programs and procedures.

- Participate in code review and design.

- Provide technical expertise and logical thought-out solutions to web-based applications.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science or Related Field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in coding Photoshop mockups into HTML/CSS and providing technical support.
- Required language: English fluency
- Experience HTML/CSS/JS/JQUERY/AJAX. Strong HTML5 and CSS programming skills, including the ability to write reusable, optimized, maintainable code and good software documentation.
- Experienced with Adobe Photoshop
- Strong working knowledge of personal computers, browsers, mobile devices, interactive products, and web-related applications. Ability to adapt quickly to evolving priorities, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
- Experience in updating web pages online (domains, hosting, how they work).


The Following Skills/Experience Are a Plus But Not Required:

- Design experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Strong communication and written skills and the ability to articulate ideas and problem-solving approaches.
- Some familiarity with server-programming frameworks and languages (C/C++, Perl, PHP, Python).
- Some familiarity with web services and concepts (REST, XML, JSON).
- Prior experience with WHM/cpanel.
