Looking for a Talented Fantasy Romance Ghostwriter to Write Fiction Novels

I’m looking for a talented ghostwriter who wants to write fantasy fiction for me on a fulltime basis. We may also be able to negotiate something out part-time instead, if you would prefer that.

It is important that you're able to work quickly and deliver a clean draft. Speed is also important, especially since the outline and character development will be provided for you. I'm looking for a delivered draft in roughly 4 weeks with minimal typos. It will go through an editing phase, but minimal issues are desired.


THE PROCESS
First of all, I understand that with the first few books, there may be a period of getting familiar with me, the fictional world, the story, the characters, and our writing process. It’s okay if progress is slow in the beginning or if some errors are made. I want us to build trust with each other and create a long-lasting relationship that continues for the long-term, so I will be patient, understanding, and responsive to make sure you have what you need to succeed and develop your skills as a creative writer.

Before you begin, I will design the outline for an approximately 80,000 word book and provide detailed notes on each chapter, character, and the world building. Your job is to use your brilliant creativity to turn these detailed and thorough concepts into a finished novel.

A detailed chapter-by-chapter outline will be provided, along with a character book that details the characters' traits and personalities. I use 4-part story structure in my novels, so you'll have the plot points and clear direction to work with.

Please only apply if you’re comfortable writing romance and fantasy stories. These fictional stories are romance novels with a fantasy twist, designed for female readers. There will be magic, shifters, demons, monsters, demigods, gods, and lots of other magical creatures. Our characters will be a strong female lead and a bunch of gorgeous men. More details on the story will be provided to the top applicants.

Since it’s romance, there will be sexual tension and there may also be sex scenes, though I can write those scenes if you’re uncomfortable doing that. It’s 100% okay if you’re not comfortable with writing a certain kind of scene. Simply tell me what your limits are, and I will respect them.

Initially, I will have a 6-book series fully outlined for you to write. After that, we may continue the series or transition to a new series (again, I will outline everything, build the world, and design the characters so that you can focus only on writing).


PAYMENT
You will receive the 13th Month Bonus with this position.

You’ll be paid on a fulltime basis for 40 hours of writing time per week. This is an ongoing position, so I’m looking for someone who wants stable, ongoing fulltime work. When you finish one book, you’ll simply begin writing the next one (which I will have outlined and ready for you to start).


COPYRIGHTS
Since this is a ghostwriting position, you will be transferring copyrights for the novels you write to my company in exchange for this hourly rate. Your name will not appear on the cover, nor will you have say on the final decisions for the novel, cover, or other marketing decisions.

However, please know that you ARE an important and integral part of my team. Your input is important and we will discuss your thoughts on the story if you think certain things should change. I am always available for questions and discussions, and I encourage open communication.


NECESSARY SKILLS
- Creative Writing and/or Ghostwriting experience
- Enjoy fantasy romance stories
- Comfortable writing 80,000 word novels from a detailed outline (an incredible amount of detail will be provided, and you’ll have an open line of communication to me to ask questions if you need more details)
- Expert English writing ability

I'm a fantasy novelist and write under the pen names S. M. Boyce & Lila Jean. The company culture you'll be joining is one of support, kindness, and dedication. We communicate through the chat program Slack, so you'll have daily access to me. I encourage questions from you about your tasks and am happy to discuss things with you in depth if need be. Ours is a culture of communication and trust. I also have 2 other team members who will be working with you to ensure you have everything you need to accomplish your tasks and learn new skills.

I will do my best to reply with videos to your questions wherever possible, especially when training you on new tasks or programs. I want to make sure you have what you need to succeed in the long-term with my company.

Please attach an example of your writing that has a female character's POV. Ideally, this sample should be in third person, past tense. If a third person sample isn't available, first person is acceptable.

If that sample looks good, I may reach out and ask you to write a short 2000-word sample from an outline to see if you’re a good fit. I will not publish this story, and this is only used as a test to see how you turn an outline into a story.
