Job Description
ESO Electronic is an SMT Assembly, SMT Rework & Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) company based in Germany.

We are looking to add quote specialists to our remote team in the Philippines, preferably in Cagayan de Oro (CDO). You will be working remotely from wherever you want and you will be fully integrated into our suite of productivity tools (ERP online access, Slack, Helpdesk, Web Conferences). Employee will be hired as an independent contractor, billing the company on a monthly basis for services rendered.

The Quote Specialist for ESO Electronic is in charge of communicating with customers and providing information needed to complete an assembly request / RFQ. The primary responsibilities include data normalization, printed circuit board (PCB) inquiry, pricing bill of materials (BOM), and preparing quotes for customers.

Once orders are won, the Quote Specialist prepares the technical documentation (normalizing and certifying a bill of materials, creating assembly instructions) and inputs it into the ERP system. This data is then checked and released for production.

Quote Specialists are expected to report progress to the Quote Specialist Team Leader daily, and to present progress to the Director of Purchasing and Sales on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities and Duties
Within the Quotation Workflow
Documenting and organizing customer data and communication
Preparing and normalizing customer data
Creating RFQ BOM from customer BOMs
Matching ESO Items to customer items
Web price search for electronic components
Inquiring custom prices for electronic components with distributors
Pricing of BOM
Creating PCB specifications from customer specification and Gerber files
Inquiring of PCB prices with suppliers
Creating assembly specifications from customer data
Calculating assembly cost
Preparing quotes
Customer communication
Within the Sales Order Workflow
Creating new items in the ERP system
Creating BOM in the ERP system
Creating Work Orders
Purchasing of B and C components
Importing and creating SMT programs
Creating documentation for THT assembly
Finalizing Assembly Specifications for Production
Basic skills or knowledge needed for the job
Candidates with technical background are preferred. A background in electronics engineering is ideal but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google productivity products (Docs, Sheets).
Able to apply concepts of basic mathematics (e.g. pricing calculations).
Able to learn the basics of electronic components, PCBs, and electronics manufacturing.
Able to read or learn to read data sheets to identify key technical characteristics of electronic components.
Able to document and structure workflows and communication (in email, productivity tools, etc).
Professional and friendly written communication with customers.
Willingness to work remotely with occasional on-site visits for training, special projects, or team-building activities.
Good self-organization and discipline for working remotely.
Fluent English skills required. German language skills helpful but not necessary.
