JOB OVERVIEW

ROLE: Digital Marketing Analyst

We are an Amazon Seller, selling in the beauty category. Our business has grown and we are now needing a part time Digital Marketing Analyst.
POSITION: part time – 20 hours per week (may increase over time)
ROLE:
The main purpose of this role is to manage our keyword ranking on Amazon US and EU. This role owns the keyword strategy for our Amazon business which means defining the strategy (which keywords to rank) and then implementing it (promotions to drive ranking).
This will initially entail an analytical approach to our keyword strategy by understanding which keywords are relevant to each product, and where the opportunities lie inside the Amazon platform.
This analysis will cover existing products as well and for the most part new launch products.
Owning the keyword strategy means this resource will define which keywords to focus our promotions on and which tactics to use to drive keyword ranking.
In addition the role will entail tracking keyword positioning and keeping monitoring reports up to date as well as providing a weekly KPI report to the owner.

The second facet of the role requires setting up promotions to support the ranking campaigns. The promotions take place on Facebook, Google Ads, Amazon PPC.
The role will entail at this stage to monitor the promotions and how they impact the keyword rankings.
In addition the role will require setting up management reports and identifying data sources for each data stream.
The company is growing so the role will be expanding with the business and there will be opportunities to be exposed to a range of different projects like for example new Saas implementation, launches into new markets.
Training is part of the role and the successful applicant will have access to all training material the owner has subscribed / bought into (incl Udemy account with 15 courses).

WHO:
The successful candidate will need to be curious, have a constant drive to get answers, find efficiencies, constant desire to improve. This part of the role needs to be a natural trait as no training will provide this mindset.
A good part of the role is spent analysing keyword data from Amazon either on software or in excel so it is a must that the candidate have very good analytical skills, be comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets, very good working knowledge of excel but most of all stellar attention to detail.
Interest and knowledge in the beauty category is a plus (not a must).
Experience with the Amazon platform is a must – although training is available, the ideal candidate needs to have an understanding of the Amazon platform, including but not limited to:
- Comfortably navigate Seller Central (reports, customer communication, upload SKU..)
- Knowledge on how to launch and rank products on the platform
- Understanding of PPC principles and some basic strategies
80% of the promotions are run on Facebook and as such the successful candidate will need to have good working knowledge of how to advertise on Facebook. We will not be providing training on how to run ads on Facebook – training is there to improve how you run ads not how to get started. So if you have not run ads on Facebook we will not be considering you for this role. In your application please state what advertising budgets you have managed on Facebook. Topics from Facebook you need to have an understanding of
- Facebook Advertising – which objectives to use and why
- Create Audiences
- Custom Audiences
- Facebook Coupon Offer Promotions
- A/B testing
