We are in need of reliable, hardworking, and thorough COPY EDITOR.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Check text to ensure it is well written, logically structured and in the right style for the intended audience.
• Corrects grammar and spelling.
• Ensures text is in line with the publisher's 'house style' - for example, that hyphens, capital letters and optional spellings are used consistently.
• Check facts.
• Raise queries with the writer.
• Check illustrations and ensure captions are correct.
• Ensures that writers have provided all the required materials and paperwork.


Competencies and Requirements:

• Excellent written English, including good spelling and grammar
• A meticulous approach to their work and an eye for detail
• The ability to maintain high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
• A love of and feel for language.
