We are a small business based in Australia with a well-established Philippines team looking for a Bookkeeper/Accountant for a full time position during Australian business hours.
This role will be full time salaried, including allowances and leave benefits. There is lots to organise in our business, the more ambitious you are and keen to learn tasks, the more work there will be for you to do. And you must be willing to be trained.
We want someone who is keen to help us continue to grow and move our business forward. You will need to be experienced with working from home and have a quiet space to be able to make video and audio calls on Hangouts to us and you have excellent written and spoken English. We are a small business and a tight-knit team and work closely together.
Here is an idea what you will be doing;
- Managing all financial bookkeeping tasks related to a highly transactional business (over 1000 transactions per month processed).
- Reconciliation of all accounts across the business and accurate reporting to management team.
- Managing accounts payable and cashflow processing for bills payment and liaising with suppliers on payment of invoices
- Managing purchase orders for purchasing from suppliers and sales to clients
- Preparing and executing reports in Xero on business health and metrics
- Managing budgets and forecasting
- Managing Payroll for Australian employees
- Preparing quarterly tax reports (Business Activity Statements)
- Auditing and checking accounts and work to ensure accuracy
- General VA tasks such as data entry, accounts auditing and supporting our other teams
- Escalation of tasks to Finance Manager when you cannot resolve them yourself
You may also assist our Finance Concierge team with the following customer-facing tasks:
- Communicating via
- Administration around projects and back-office admin for management team and projects team
- Handling of customer license upgrade and downgrades in our billing system
- Support ticket processing for finance department of business (helping customers update credit cards, dealing with invoice queries, resolving billing disputes and escalating to Finance Manager when appropriate)
- Debt collection calls to customers who are overdue on credit card payments
This will suit someone with the following skills/traits:
- STRONG attention to detail and accuracy in your work
- STRONG Experience in bookkeeping/accounting roles (that you can demonstrate)
- Experience working with Australian employment and tax systems
- Focus on 'systems' and structure in your work
Skills:
Excellent English written and spoken
At least 3yrs bookkeeping/accounting role experience
Xero, Zendesk and WHMCS experience will be highly favoured!!!
