JOB OVERVIEW

Are you a student interested in software development, gaming, or e-commerce ?

No formal experience. No certifications. No Visa. No CV. NO PROBLEM!

I am looking for someone to assist with the testing of software that is in development.

My client is a major travel corporation in Australia.

Examples:-

-Running PHP\Python\Powershell scripts from command line or web-browser and observing errors;

-Editing HTML\Json files;

-Inspecting UX\UI and other visual components of web-pages to enhance divergence from written specs;

-Reading specification documents outlining desired functionality;

-Uploading Websites incorporating Python\PHP\Databases;

You will need:-

-A desire to genuinely learn and develop experience;

-An excellent eye for visual detail

-About 2-3 hours per day to inspect work delivered;

-Availability at nights (developers are in Europe timezones)

-Highly articulate writing style;

-Diplomacy and Assertiveness to deal with developers;

-Appreciation of visual design including margins, line styles, typeface, alignment, vertical spacing, glyph icons;

-Maturity, Discipline and professionalism;

This is an excellent opportunity for a new starter to prove whom they are and be adopted into a family of technology superstars.

What we want is this: someone whom knows gaming, websites, and how to use software.

Application Process:--

Write to and refer to the ‘Software Consumer’ role.
Advise what amount of money you request for a 10 hour work week (think in terms of base + bonus)
And then--

Pick the most interesting project(s) you have done and then--

Write 500 words to explain everything that was done by you, focus on:

- choices you made with the CSS elements in web design;

- external Javascript plugins that were used and why;

- the process of uploading PHP code so that it can connect with a MySQL database;

- running a script (either Python or PHP) from the command line and troubleshooting its errors;

- enhancements made with Photoshop (or equivalent) and why these were important;

This is an open-question to get you talking your very best. Please impress us!

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Best of luck!
