I am looking for someone to redesign our website at
It will be a big project as there are several areas of the website that need to be completely redesigned, with a desktop, tablet, and a phone version. So we're not talking just about a home page and a general page template.
I want to make sure I hire the best candidate (or maybe a small team), so there are several important requirements that you must fulfill in order for me to look at your application.
You will see that one of the requirements is a small sample of your work specifically done for this project. I don't want you to feel that I'm looking for free labor. I'm not. I'm going to compensate you for it, as explained below.
To bid for this job, you must:
1. Post the following message together with your bid:
I [your name], of [your address], in exchange for the opportunity to be selected to provide web design services to Andrei Mincov and Trademark Factory International Inc., hereby undertake never to disclose confidential information that I may receive in connection with my provision of services, and agree to assign and hereby assign to Trademark Factory International Inc. ownership of any intellectual property rights that may subsist in the work product that I may create as a result of providing the services, and waive any moral rights that I may have in connection therewith.
2. Go to our current website, find an element that in your opinion needs the most improvement, and create a rough redesign for it. Watermark it if you wish.
I'm not interested in free labor. This assignment is for me to see (and this is your opportunity to show me) that you:
A. understand WHY you're redesigning this or that element
B. can do a great job redesigning the new element
C. are paying attention to details
D. are serious about this opportunity
E. are creative
The more effort you put into this sample, the higher the chance of you getting the full job.
I will pay $10 just for this sample assignment to the top 10 candidates whose sample will reflect a serious attempt of creative, non-generic design that would demonstrate your vision for the whole redesigned website.
In other words, even if you are not hired for the big project, you still get paid—as long as you put genuine effort into it.
3. In addition to your sample, explain WHY you picked the element you wanted to change and why you believe your version is better.
4. Comment whether you have any experience creating illustrations / infographics. It is NOT required for this job.
5. Comment whether you have any experience with HTML/JS/CSS to code the design. Again, it is NOT required for this job.
6. Confirm that you have availability to give this project your #1 priority if hired. As I said, there's a LOT to be done, and I want to make sure it gets done within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Indicate your desired compensation for the project.
