JOB OVERVIEW

We are are looking to hire an individual who will be responsible for writing for a blog about meat-free lifestyles (by the way, you don’t have to be vegetarian: see below*)

BACKGROUND

Until now, in developed countries not eating meat has been a lifestyle choice. However, due to the enormous energy and CO2 production that producing meat requires, combined with increasing populations, this is no longer sustainable.

Making diets as meat-free as possible are an essential step to creating a better future. It’s as essential as removing gas-powered cars from roads. It also helps to reconnect societies to nature, giving people purpose that is lacking in today’s society and helping people feel more like they have a place in the world.

So, we have to change, but how? It’s hard to know what products to use and how to use them, especially for people who can’t cook or are too busy to do research. Is it expensive? Where do I buy this stuff? How does it taste? How about if I workout - does it have enough protein? This site aims to provide answers to questions like this as well as inspire people and make change as easy as possible. Use your words for good.

Responsibilities Researching and reporting on recipes, ingredients, and world issues. Trying recipes, ingredients, and writing interesting and useful articles. Tracking down information on ingredients in various countries and where they can be purchased. Engaging with visitors and influencers on social network sites.

Requirements Excellent writing skills, knowledge of cooking or nutrition. Very comfortable with using technology. Creative and good problem solver. Knowledge of social networks, and SEO advantageous.

Working hours and salary: 40 hours per week (flexible schedule), 13-15,000 PHP per month (further pay increase available depending on the success of the site). Possibility for promotion to project manager if subsequent staff are hired.

HOW TO APPLY
If you are interested in this position, please send an email with a sample of a piece of writing you have completed previously. This would preferably be for a blog or a similar article.

Note: as an employee, we won’t expect you to be or become vegetarian for this role if you aren’t already. However, the content of the website is based on your research and experiments with meat-free recipes
