SEO Specialist

General Purpose:
• Responsible for improving the client’s organic search results.
• Creates and launches SEO campaigns, identifies areas of improvement and attempts to improve the clients' sites' rankings in major search engines.

We are looking for an experienced SEO Specialist who will be responsible for effectively delivering SEO services needed by our clients at Mercurian Media. This role is for someone who can embrace the concept of dynamic flexibility and someone who seeks to improve oneself, his/her role and this Company everyday. Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze client sites for areas that need to be improved, deleted, or revised.
• Prepare detailed strategy reports.
• Keyword Analysis and Research: In-depth knowledge of keyword research. This includes knowing how to identify keywords for better ROI.
• Implement off-page SEO strategies.
• Strategize ways to improve and track site performance.
• Compile and present SEO performance reports.
• Work with web designers and web developers to manage on-page optimization and architecture.
• Create advanced SEO strategies.
• Evaluate product offering, traffic, landing page quality, content, design, security, payment options, shipping options, demographics of prospective customers when determining keywords and campaigns.
• SEO specialists are also responsible for creating (or overseeing the creation) of original SEO content for client sites, in addition to implementing on-page SEO content strategies like basic coding (eg, when and how to effectively use header tags (ie, H1, H2, H3)).
• Search Engine Guidelines: Keeps abreast of white hat and black hat tactics so as not to run afoul of search engine guidelines.
• Work and function as a team player with other SEO specialists, link builders, content writers, and virtual assistants.
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Must have at least 1-3 years of experience in the role
• Familiarity in SEO tools like Raven Tools, SEOMOZ, WebCEO, MajesticSEO and XenuSleuth
• Tool-savvy
• Well versed in link and web outreach
• Basic knowledge in social media campaigns
• Solid understanding of Google Algorithm Updates such as Panda, Penguin & EMD
• Good On-page SEO background. Familiarity with server header status codes, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, search engine accessibility, duplicate and canonical checks.
• Highly familiar with Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools.
• Specific skills include knowledge of HTML; basic CSS; blogging platforms like Wordpress.
• Basic to advanced experienced with cPanel and FTP file management.
• Knows the “language of SEO,” eg, organic search, CTR, CPC, SEM, ROI, link bait, long-tail keywords, etc.
• Someone who doesn’t require handholding. Should be able to assess a situation, develop a plan, get approval and implement it.
• Should be able to readily identify problems and formulate practical solutions
• Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and desire to excel in a fast-paced work environment. Can work well under pressure; keep a cool head and demeanor
• Ability to effectively manage multiple, complex, on-going tasks and projects
• High level of integrity, judgment and follow through
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines is essential
• Data analysis skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office specially MS Excel for data manipulation and analysis: graphs, functions & presentations
• SEO Copywriting is a plus but not expected.

The job package consists of:
• Salary range depending on skill level and experience
• Leave Credits upon 6th and 12th month of continuous service
• Reimbursable Internet Service (subject to Php Limit)
