Software Engineer – GUN Developer

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Crystal Eye team at Red Piranha. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely and frequently with software engineers across Red Piranha.

You will be required to work with product management and other cross-functional teams to develop detailed software functional specification, articulate system/software architecture specifications, for product features, to meet product requirements.

SW development in the areas of platform infrastructure, device drivers, kernel, chassis control, device management, link and interface management.
You will be required to carry out detailed design and implementation, unit testing, integration of packet forwarding, related device/kernel drivers and other related software components for cybersecurity products and features. Experience working with Unified threat management appliances a bonus.

Requirements:
• Primary Programming Skill- PHP Code ,CodeIgniter
• Linux: Internal, Security ,networking - Knowledge of cyber security UTM product types
• Hands-on on OS: Centos, Redhat
• Database: mysql, mariadb
• Problem solving and quick learner and good English communication both verbal and documentation
• Knowledge of Scripting Language: Shell Script, Lua, Python
• Knowledge of Programming Language: C,C++

• An up to date computer system.
• A stable internet connection and a back up connection if the first one fails.
• Perfectly working headset for communication.
• Must be highly punctual and has regard for timing and schedule.
• Able to adhere to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
• Work as part of a team of software and security engineers, with a high degree of freedom to design and build best-in-class offerings
• Work closely with system and solution test teams to ensure correct and complete verification of software and components, for the feature to meet real-life network deployments.
• You will be required to work closely with Technical Assistance Teams, for providing engineering assistance in supporting critical customer escalations for customer deployments.
• You will be responsible for mentoring/guiding junior engineers in the team for technical problem solving and building long-term expertise in the team
• Technical point of contact for product teams as it relates to automation, CI/CD, and DevOps and/or DevSecOps
• Design and test solutions to unique and interesting challenges
• Understand existing processes and identifying how to improve and streamline them to improve team efficiency and effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications:
• Background in developing and release software products in cloud and/or desktop environments
• Interest in learning more about software security (bonus if you have security experience)
• Experience in various development tools, such as Jenkins and GitHub
• Comfortable with different programming and scripting languages, such as Python, JavaScript, C++, Java or others.
• Excel in a highly collaborative and fast-paced team environment
