Magazine Graphic Designer

An overseas magazine seeks a talented and enthusiastic Graphic Designer:
- Designer will work with the Editor in Chief to design the monthly pages of the magazine.
- Designing the marketing tools.
- Uploading and editing the final draft in the online platform.
- This position offers exposure to all aspects of the design process.
- Designer will also work with story editors, oversee their pages from design to close, order art and check pages for accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and organizational skills a must.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in publication design at a magazine.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong understanding of editorial print design, visual hierarchy, the creative process and editorial problem solving
• Partner with Creative and Edit teams on story development and visual concepts
• Ensure layouts meet the design and print standards throughout each issue cycle
• Maintain positive work environment with high creative standards
• Experience in art directing illustrations and proficiency at researching stock art sites
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Other duties as assigned
