1. You'll be answering clients'
Job types include design, production and installation of outdoor signs; banners, vinyl lettering and decals, channel letters, electrical signs etc.
You will be following SOPs (standard operating procedures) when answering requests but it is important to be good with numbers. Having technical background is an advantage. If you ever did construction tasks that required precise measurements, it will definitely help with this job.
2. You'll be doing some basic calculations daily. Test: Customer requested a quote for 10'x3' sign to be produced and installed on the wall,
Assume price per square foot is $10, installation is $3 per square foot, sales tax is 10.1% (applicable for both production and installation).
How much would you quote a client for?
Also assuming production cost for the sign on our side will be $2 per squre foot, and $20 per hour for the installation (it takes 2 hours to install).
Transaction cost is 2%.
Calculate our company potential profit for this job.
Just for fun, go through the above test yourself, calculate the quote and profit and leave a comment before to see if you would have passed the test.
I'll keep everyone updated on the hiring process, but so far so good, i'm excited to be hiring my first VA.
Currently I have only myself answering all of my customer calls and
This will be my first day to day VA which I hope to one day upgrade to full time.
By the way, the reason why I'm not having my guy in the US do the day to days is because first
it'll be 1/4 of the price to hire someone in the Philippines but also because
I don't want my business to be reliant on just one person.
Best regards,
Petr
