WordPress Developer (Full Time)

Fifteen Three is a small digital studio in the UK specialising in building great looking functional websites for small businesses.

We’re looking for an experienced WordPress developer to help us with developing WordPress websites for our clients from static mockups.

You should have experience of building custom WordPress themes with HTML, CSS & Javascript. You don't need to have knowledge of any frameworks like Bootstrap.

You’ll be responsible for both back-end and front-end development of WordPress sites, including creating WordPress themes and occasionally editing plugins.

This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the colour and font choices, and so on).

Experience with responsive web design is strongly preferred. Also, you should have an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment.

Responsibilities

- Creating custom WordPress themes from static mockups.
- Building custom write panels using Advanced Custom Fields so customers can easily manage a website.
- Adding and configuring other necessary plugins.
- Optimisation and performance reviews of WordPress websites.
- Ongoing maintenance & WordPress updates.

Skills

- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Good understanding of PHP
- Knowledge of SCSS
- Experience designing and developing responsive WordPress websites from scratch (we don’t use frameworks like Bootstrap)
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Working on a Mac is preferred to PC.
