CUSTOMER SERVICE / SHOPIFY POSITION AVAILABLE for fun Ecommerce Store (Kid-Oriented)
We are a successful Canadian eCommerce company that puts a premium on quality service and products. We are looking for a rockstar virtual assistant!
JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful VA should be able to work full time and love talking about cute & practical products all day long! If you’ve ever made a lunch or two for picky kids, you’ll fit right in. We are looking for someone who can treat our customers like royalty by providing the very best in customer service. We have 100’s of products that you’ll get to know well…and by listening carefully to what the customer (or potential customer) is asking, you’ll be able to recommend which product would best suit their needs.
Over here in Canada, we are a small team and are doing our very best to get every order out perfectly. But we’re human. We make mistakes. And then bend over backwards to fix them.
Customer Service will be your top priority (this will be via
VERY IMPORTANT: You must have EXCELLENT communication skills in written English, lots of customer service experience, an eye for detail, be a quick study, and willing to adapt. Experience in Shopify, Helpscout, Shipstation, Xero, Asana and Amazon are a definite plus! Did I mention the attention to detail? ;-). Oh yeah, there will be plenty of multitasking too. Must have a stable internet connection.
The person selected for this role will have the advantage of being our first hire in the Philippines. We’re looking for someone who will want to stay with us long term: as long as you produce great work, we’ll always have a job for you. When the time comes, you can help us build and manage our virtual team. We work hard, and are looking for a dedicated professional. If you don’t know how to do something, that is totally OK! YOUR TYPICAL DAY
1. The main focus of your day would be to handle both current and potential customers who approach us via
a. Figuring out what the customer is looking for and making product recommendations from our wide catalog of items (This involves knowing our products well! Training provided!)
b. Retrieving order information from Shopify and Shipstation
c. Giving refunds
d. Setting up new orders for shipment in Shipstation (e.g. sending a replacement item)
e. Shipstation: creating labels, combining/splitting orders, tagging and making notes as needed?
2. Once customers have been taken care of, your role will be based on tasks assigned to you in Asana, such as:?
a. Adding products to the website in Shopify (finding photos, ensuring that product codes, prices, quantities are correct; writing unique descriptions in our voice)
b. Moderating our
c. Updating inventory quantity in Shopify when new inventory arrives (detail-oriented a must here!)
d. Recording invoices in Xero; organizing physical invoices in a database
e. Keeping track of inventory in Amazon and making shipment recommendations to avoid being out-of-stock
f. Writing step-by-step standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all the items above and/or recording videos/screenscaptures for future use

Cute Kid Stuff is first and foremost a family business. We sell a wide variety of litterless lunch products for kids, and currently focus on the Canadian market (with quick expansion into the USA once we get some help!). Our products range from practical to fun…and cover a wide range of categories. My husband and I run the show (or rather, our kids do!) Most of our customers have kids of their own, and appreciate that we understand what they are going through. We look forward to welcoming the right VA to our little family.
We currently sell the bulk of our products on our own Shopify website, but will be expanding our Amazon offerings in 2018 and will also be adding Etsy to the mix.
