JOB OVERVIEW

TetraNoodle is looking out for technical writers who can produce high-quality Video based online courses and contribute to the overall success of our products. You will join a team of talented tech writers who work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, media specialists, and usability experts to make our products easier to use.

Responsibilities
Ability to quickly understand the detailed concepts detailed by the Subject Matter Experts(SMEs) and translate these into learning outcomes and a lesson plan / structure using PowerPoint
Build supporting material including documentation, worked examples, hands-on exercises, and multimedia components as appropriate
Virtually coordinate activities of content development across various teams
Distribute and manage the approved content to various publishing platforms
Assess and make recommendations regarding course design, technology, and instruction delivery options to achieve learning and performance objectives associated with assigned projects
Work with internal teams segregated into specialized resource pools to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the online documentation requirements
Produce high-quality online video based training that meets applicable instructional standards, is engaging, and is appropriate for its intended audience
Write easy-to-understand and instructionally sound audio scripts for our online courses, user interface text, online help, and developer guides/job aids
Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
Focus on reuse of potential content and analyse existing content while focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
Maintain and create the information architecture
Recommend instructional methods, such as individual or group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, and role-playing, appropriate for content and learner characteristics
Interact with relevant subject matter experts to identify and gather necessary SOP, specification, user guides and similar source materials necessary to create learning content
Adapt existing instructional content and delivery methods as required to meet the needs of evolving tools and processes and different levels or types of employees
Manage schedules to ensure timely completion of all deliverables
Conduct research and make recommendations pertaining to the application of improved methods, tools and technologies in the instructional design field

Role Requirements
Well established working experience in technical writing of online trainings
Calibre to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
Proven capability to quickly assimilate complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and graphics
Excellent written skills in English
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Camtasia
Familiarity with the SDLC and software development
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred

Extensive working experience in instructional design
Visual design skills
Power backup while working from home
Persistent high-speed internet connection is required and a decent computer which can run video editing software
