I am trying to plan to hire a few artists within the next few months, for a design firm I am opening up. Currently, I design everything myself. But I know, over time, I will need extra help! What is most important, is a decent grasp of English language, as you may be dealing directly with my clients down the road, through our business email. The types of jobs will vary, but they are within these types: business card design, postcards, flyers, trifolds/brochures, banners, logo design, decal design, and various print ready designs. Honestly, most can be done through Adobe illustrator/corel draw, and photoshop. But you can use whatever you prefer, as long as it is the right program for the job (decals for instance typically need to be vector, as well as some Screenprinted shirt designs). There will be no website design! Clients will need vector eps and pdf, as well as a png and Jpeg. My best advice is to encourage my clients to be very descriptive. But like I said, I may get all the details first before I send orders to you. I can only send orders when I get them, so it's at a remote design basis. I cannot guarantee full time work yet, but I hope to in the future! I'm not looking for impeccable skills and customer service, but I do want someone to be polite/mindful of what they say. I am laid back otherwise, and hope we can work together!
