The Social Media Intern will administer our clients’ social media marketing and advertising. Administration includes but is not limited to:
• Deliberate planning and goal setting
• Development of brand awareness and online reputation
• Content management
• SEO (search engine optimization) and generation of inbound traffic
• Cultivation of leads and sales
• TMC Subscription Marketing service
The Social Media Intern needs to be highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers. That passion comes through as he/she engages with customers on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of telling a brand story and connecting with our client's audience.
The position reports directly to the VP of Marketing Operations
Responsibilities of the Social Media Intern Position:
The first responsibility of the Social Media Intern is to develop and implement a social media marketing plan. The marketing plan will include the following components.
• Brand Development
• Identify Target Customers
• Set Clear Objectives
• Visual Design and Web Development Strategy
• Solid Content Strategy
• Promotion Strategy
• Engagement Strategy
• Conversion Strategy
• Measure & Analyze to Establish ROI
Content management duties include:
• Pilot the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content.
• Create a regular publishing schedule.
• Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns.
• Create Monthly or Bi-Monthly reports illustrating the performance of our clients’ social content and traffic.
• Work directly with team of designers and developers to ideate content for campaigns
Essential Duties of the Social Media Intern
• Develop and implement social media brand strategies, campaigns, and plans to build brand/company awareness
• Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency
• Create, maintain, and grow new and existing social networks, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, FourSquare, Instagram, Google+, Facebook, and others
• Manage company blog and editorial calendar that aligns with social updates
• Monitor social media progress using web analytic tools
• Incorporate optimization strategies, analyze data, and research best ways to increase traffic
• Review success of campaigns and develop ways to improve
• Plan paid social media advertising strategies and budgets
• Secure new media partnerships
• Drive engagement with social media influencers
• Resolve customer issues through social media
• Create engaging written and visual content for blog
• Research new media platforms, trends, and industry opportunities
• Provide feedback from social media trends and research; relay it to business strategists
• Write effective, concise copy for multiple platforms, websites, and social networks

Social Media Intern Requirements and Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, PR or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Two years of social media management experience
• Experience with Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or HubSpot
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Google Analytics
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
• Experience with technologies and best practices for web design, web production, and creative design across multiple platforms
• Experience identifying and creating campaigns for target audience
• Excellent analytical and time-management skills
• Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects
