[About This Job]
We are creating a brand new SaaS product for the medical training industry, and are looking for a highly motivated person to become the second software engineer with the company. We are finishing up our minimally viable product (MVP), and will soon be moving to the product rollout phase, which will include building out our marketing site, sales pages, billing platforms, sales pipeline and drip campaigns. Following that, we have lots of exciting features to design and develop.
[Roles & Responsibilities:]
Our current tech stack contains ES6, Vue.js responsive SPA, Vuex, Vuetify for the frontend, with Google Firestore and a Lambda serverless backend.
Engineer #2 will be responsible for completing our MVP, and building out our infrastructure so that we can go live. You must have the ability to work independently, with minimal direction from company leaders. At times we will give you lots of technical direction, but at other times we will be so busy working on our own tasks that we will only be able to share our vision with you. During those times, you will be expected to take the vision and feature requirements, and turn it into a working solution with minimal outside help.
You must be able to solve problems on your own, and be confident enough to share your ideas on architecture, design, etc.
[Requirements & Qualifications:]
If engineers could be custom built to order, this is what our engineer #2 would look like. We know you won't be a 100% match to our dream engineer, so convince us why you are a better fit than this, and you are in.
* Can work on the front-end one day, and the back-end the next.
* Significant experience with Vue.js or React, and can maintain state with Vuex or Redux
* Has significant experience with cloud computing products from one or more venders (AWS, Azure, Google)
* Stays abreast of the latest technologies, and is confident in recommending, learning and implementing appropriate solutions for current business requirements
* Can work remotely with minimal supervision
* Able to communicate in English
* Has reliable Internet connection, and can communicate over video in English
* Loves to build new products and businesses, and constantly has ideas on how to improve the product and the business.
[How to Apply]
Apply through this site, and then create a very simple Vue.js web app that has three tabs:
1) One tab will display your resume. The resume should be stored somewhere on the web, but downloaded and displayed in the browser when I switch to tab 1. Cache the resume using vuex so that it only downloads the resume one time.
2) Another tab will display information about yourself: why do you want to work for me, what makes you qualified for this job, how many hours per week will you be working, how much would you like to make, etc.
3) A final tab that contains links to things you have worked on in the past. Github repositories, stack overflow posts, sites built, etc.
Upload your vue.js application project to a github gist, and
