Who We Are
Hello; my name is Jared Wilson and I am the President of We Buy Houses NTX. We are a real estate sales company based out of Fort Worth, TX (United States).
We are a small, but growing company and are experiencing quite a bit of growth. This has pushed the need for us to hire two new employees.
Since some aspects of our process do not require someone to be physically located with our customers, I would like offer one of the new positions to you.
You’re probably wondering if you would be our first Filipino team member?
Actually, No. We currently have a couple other team member who live and work in the Philippines like yourself. Anna lives in Iloilo City, and she is one of our service representatives. Dyan works in Singapore but is from the Philippines too.
If you’re wondering what you would be doing?
The job title is, as I alluded to before, is a “Web Developer”. Your primary duties are two fold:
1) Build out our own website patterned after this one:
2) Managing the website for any maintenance or ongoing changes thereafter.
So, why should you join us over anyone and everyone else?
If you would like…
1) an opportunity to be creative and build something from the ground up,
2) the opportunity to work from home without a boss breathing down your neck,
4 ) working hours on your timetable,
…then this is a job you will enjoy and excel at.
Are we for real?
You don’t have to take my word for it. Here is what Anna Mateo says about working on the team:
How to know if you’re qualified for this opportunity?
You need to have experience in your field and must be able to present a portfolio that shows other websites you have created.
You must have a good attitude and be self-motivated. These are things you must demonstrate in the interview process.
A successful applicant must be able to demonstrate:
* A can do attitude, and the ability to work without constant supervision
* The ability to build out a functional website
* Be able to speak in conversational English and write in passable English as well
* Have or be willing to obtain Internet fast enough to allow
* Working microphone and internet video camera
Scared this job is in the dead of night? (Don’t worry its not)
As I’m sure you’re aware, most outsourced jobs require you to stay up into the dead of night so that you can be available for U.S. working hours. Working this late at night forces you to sleep during the day and can create a strain on your body and family relationships.
Therefore, I have designed this job to have flexible hours as much as possible.
You are free to work whatever hours you choose with a caveat. You can choose when you get your work done, but we need to have meetings during U.S. hours. I need to be able to talk with you via video chat sometimes for usually about half an hour or so to discuss current projects and work through anything that might be an issue.
This means you would have a night or so where I will need to talk with you during U.S. work hours. The earliest I am available is 9am CST which is 11pm Manilla time.
What happens next?
Since our jobs are so popular we generally get deluged with applicants. So I have designed a two part interview process to make the process as simple and efficient for all parties.
The first part of the interview process is designed to get a good idea of who you are and what you are about, as well as test your ability to follow directions.
If you make it through this first round one, we will talk via video chat to determine if you are a good fit for the team and ultimately offer the job to someone.
How to Apply
Therefore, to submit your application for the job, please complete all of the following and
1) Please respond to the following interview questions and submit them to me:
2) Please send me at least 3-5 people I can contact whom would say good things about working with you. This could be a priest, former employer, bank manager, school teacher, anyone. No more than 1 of these people can be family members though.
3) Send me a portfolio of websites you have created. These websites should display your abilities and skills as a web developer.
4) Look at the website at
5) Tell me how much you would charge for ongoing maintenance.
Thanks
