Required Skills:

* Outstanding English, both spoken and written.
* PHP - Object Oriented
* Familiarity with MVC architecture/frameworks (e.g. Yii, CodeIgniter, Zend)
* MySQL
* HTML and basic CSS
* jQuery OR Ext JS

Our immediate need is to have an experienced developer help us develop plugins for the MODX content management system (http://modx.com/). MODX is not very well-known, but we enjoy working with it. If you have a background in MVC programming, then you will pick up MODX quickly -- I will help train you.

We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated candidate who is passionate about writing good code! Because this is a remote position, you need to be able to work without much supervision: we use a ticketing system to assign work, and we will talk regularly on Skype. It would be helpful if you could work some hours during US business hours, but it's not required.

To apply for this position:

1. Reply to this posting with the word "Donuts" in the subject line.
2. Submit a sample of your PHP code (the actual .php files please!)-- we're looking for clean, well-commented code that follows best practices.
3. Include a resume
4. Include a link to your onlinjobs.php profile page

If you do not follow these instructions, your response will be IGNORED! This helps us make sure that you are not a robot and that you can follow directions.

Do not email or Skype me about this position! I will accept applications through the end of August, and then I will contact candidates the first week of September to schedule a phone interview.

Salary

20,000 to 30,000 PHP/month depending on experience. For the first month I'll pay you at the end of each week -- during the first month, you will be paid only for the days you work (in other words, no paid vacations during the first month). After the first month you will receive a monthly salary and if you are meeting expectations, you will be eligible for a raise to your salary. If you exceed expectations, you'll be eligible for monthly bonuses. I realize in the Philippines it's customary to pay the 13th month at the end of the calendar year. I will honor this. I will pro-rate the 13th month based on your start date. For example, if you start work at the beginning of July (half-way through the year), then your payment for the 13th month will be half of your regular monthly salary.

Thank you and good luck!
