Senior JavaScript Developer (MeteorJS / Node.js)

Geekho (Cambodia) is a software design and IT services studio based and registered in Siem Reap, Cambodia. With our small team of developers and technology enthusiasts, we are developing solutions for customers in Cambodia and worldwide. Based in Siem Reap’s first co-working space, the entrepreneurial spirit is around us in everything we do.

We are passionate about using state-of-the-art technology to build innovative software products, and are looking for like-minded geeks to join us.

As the Senior JavaScript Developer, you will lead the implementation of Geekho's next SaaS solutions and coordinate the work of our Junior Developers. You will work closely with our management team and be able to shape our new solutions from the start.

Job responsibilities

- Independently develop web-based SaaS solutions in Meteor under the supervision of Geekho's management team
- Coordinate the project work of our junior staff, review and approve their work
- Assure compliance with coding guidelines, best practices and the overall system architecture


Required qualifications

- At least two years of project experience with MeteorJS / Node.js and NoSQL databases (e.g. CouchDB, MongoDB)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely on complex software development projects
- Passionate about Web Development and delivering high quality solutions
- Able and confident to communicate in English with colleagues and clients
- Eager to grow as a developer every day by trying out and learning about new technologies and approaches


Desirable qualifications

- Project experience with JavaScript test frameworks such as Mocha or Vows
- Able to start working with us before the end of 2017


Working location

You may choose to work with us in our office in Siem Reap or remotely. If you choose to work remotely, we would like you to visit us in Siem Reap for the first two to three weeks (reasonable expenses paid) to get you started.
